With "a crash of drums, a flash of light," Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the internationally acclaimed musical/dance extravaganza explodes at the Covey Center for the Arts when Center Stage Youth Performers hits the stage this April.

Noted for its family-friendly storyline, universal themes and catchy music, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's spectacular has been delighting audiences worldwide for over 40 years. The show is a lovely, comical and colorful journey through the Biblical story of young Joseph (Justin Hendricks), sold into slavery by his brothers after his father favored him with a gorgeous colored cloak. His gift of prophecy saves him from an uncertain fate and helps him to rescue Egypt from famine.

The production showcases the talents of 82 youth from Utah County, ages 7-18. Animated with a high-energy mix of music and dancing from calypso to country western to go-go dancing, this show is sure to be an exciting night out for the entire family.

The production is directed by Lori Sanders with musical direction by Maria Hopkin and choreography by Kristen Bradley, Corinne Mayberry, Megan Jensen, Kenna Blackburn, Carson Center, and Lori Sanders.

Center Stage Youth Performers is part of the Pleasant Grove Arts Commission.
