Performance Company
Youth, ages 7-18, participating in these workshops will spend 4 months training in acting, voice and dance, and 4 months applying what they have learned as they rehearse for the spring musical.
Center Stage Youth Performers offers a two-part program:
FALL SEMESTER:
(September thru December)
The fall semester is a series of workshops. Each Wednesday, participants attend three 45-minute classes: Acting, Dance, and Music. They will be taught age-appropriate skills in each area. These skills will be built upon weekly, and students will apply them immediately as they prepare for a Parent's Night in December.
In addition, youth ages 13 and older will participate in a musical showcase featuring scenes and songs from modern Broadway musicals during the fall semester. This requires additional rehearsals on some Saturdays and will be peformed in December.
WINTER SEMESTER:
(January thru April)
The winter semester is production time. In January, all participants will audition for and be cast in our spring production. Rehearsals will be held each Wednesday (with extra rehearsals near show time) and the performance is in the spring.
(Performance dates in late April at the Covey Center for the Arts.) This is the perfect opportunity to completely apply the skills taught in the fall semester and give every student a chance to be a star. This year's spring show will be Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!
Who Can Participate: Youth ages 7-18

Dates and Times: Classes and rehearsals will be held each Wednesday from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Lions Club. Classes will begin on September 7, 2011 and continue through April 2012. We will be performing our spring show at the Covey Center in Provo.
Cost: Monthly tuition is $55. In addition, there is a non-refundable registration fee of $50 that covers the cost of materials, scripts, music, etc. Multiple family member discounts are available. (Each additional immediate family member is $45 per month.)

NEW! If your child would like to participate in CSYP's Performance Company for the 2012-13 year, as a seven year old, he/she is required to participate in Broadway Bound this year. Starting next year, the Performance Company will start requiring a year of Broadway Bound training for any seven-year old to join.
