Director and teacher Lori Sanders has a B.A. and teaching certificate in Theater Education from Brigham Young University. She has been directing youth theater shows in Utah Valley for the last 18 years. Some of her credits include: Disney's Little Mermaid, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr., Once On This Island Jr., You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Wizard of Oz; Seussical; Music Man; Annie; and Peter Pan. Lori is one of the original founders of Center Stage and has directed CSYP productions since 2002. Previously, Lori was on staff with Pleasant Grove Youth Theater and directed a variety of productions. Lori has taught in several local schools teaching musical theater skills to students after school. She also loves to perform and has most recently been seen on stage as Rose in Bye Bye Birdie. She is currently CSYP’s Performance Company director and acting teacher.
Knowing that music would be a dominant aspect of her life since she was a little girl, Maria Hopkin has pursued, and is still pursuing every opportunity to hone her skills and talents. She has been involved in performance and theater since about age 9, some of her favorite roles being Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, and Chava inFiddler on the Roof. She lives in Eagle Mountain and is a private voice and piano instructor, having studied music heavily at both Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, and Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia. Maria has a passion for teaching kids, and finds tremendous satisfaction in watching them grow and develop as musicians. Working in a musical theater setting has been a life-long dream, and she is loving her role as musical director for Center Stage! This will be her 4th year with the theater
Kristen Rae Bradley
Kristen has been performing since she was 8, and started choreographing for school productions at 12. She has always loved dancing and teaching, so teachings kids to dance is her dream job! This is her 8th year with CSYP. She also spent 5 years teaching youth theater classes at the Scera and the past year assisting with their youth dance program. She has recently been seen in Nunsense (Sister Mary Leo), Peter Pan (Tiger Lily), and The Wizard of Oz (Glinda). Some of her favorite choreography projects have included Joseph and the ATDC, Nunsense, The Little Mermaid Jr., and Seussical Jr. Kristen is CSYP's choreographer and dance teacher.
Corinne Mayberry has been with Center Stage Youth Performers since the very beginning and has loved it. She has had many opportunities to be on the stage all over the community as well as back stage and behind the scenes ever since she could walk. Corinne graduated from Brigham Young University in Recreation Management and Youth Leadership in April 2004. Corinne is currently the Performance Company's assistant choreographer and the producer of Broadway Bound.
Mikayla has always been a performer. She started dancing at age 3 and hasn’t been able to stop! She has danced for many studios and venues including Odyssey Dance Theater’s, Thriller. Mikayla loves working with children of all ages and has been teaching dance since she was 12. Mikayla loves dancing almost as much as she loves acting and singing. Some of her favorite acting roles have been Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, and Ophelia in Hamlet. Her favorite singing roles have been Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Bambi in Curtains. Mikayla is so grateful to share her love of the arts with her husband, James, and acting, singing, and dancing by his side. Mikayla is the Choreographer for Broadway Bound. She is so excited to join this wonderful team!
Carson has loved all kinds of theater since she was a little girl. She started rounding up the neighborhood kids to direct in plays, and decided she never wanted to stop! She has a BA in Theater Education from Brigham Young University, as well as a minor in music. She currently teaches drama for the elementary classroom at BYU and has also taught creative drama workshops at different elementary schools in Utah Valley. She loves to perform, and some of her favorite roles include Berthe in Pippin, Marcy in Almost Maine, Thaisa in Pericles, Prince of Tyre, Narrator in Joseph, and Mrs. Snoring Man in White Christmas. This is Carson's fourth year as the director and musical director for Broadway Bound and she loves it.
Tamela Daley is a teaching assistant at Center Stage and loves it! After an early youth filled with every sport you could think of, she turned to theater in 7th grade and has been hooked ever since. Some of her favorite performances are You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Into the Woods, and Children of Eden. Tamela is currently studying Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and hopes to become a corporate event planner out in the big wide world. She's so excited to be back at Center Stage, just adores all of the kids and is loving watching them grow bigger and better at everything they do. Center Stage rocks!
McKenna has been doing musical theater since she was 8 years old, but stared in her very own musicals starting at age 3! She took dance all growing up and did choir all through school, as well as private voice lessons for a few years. She also started Center Stage and had been in the program for years. Her favorite shows including Seussical, Wizard of Oz, and Once on This Island. So when they offered her the job as a workshop assistant in the performance company, more specifically to the youngest group she was thrilled to come back. She is coming up on her 3rd year as an assistant and loves to come play with the kiddos every week! She thinks CSYP is the best thing she has ever become involved with!
Kameron Lopez is excited to be apart of the CSYP team! She just finished student teaching theater at Herriman High School. She has experienced theater all through Utah including St. George, Cedar City, Provo and Salt Lake City.... and in New York City and Los Angeles. She received her associate of arts of Dixie State University, her Bachelors Degree in Theater studies from BYU, was in the acting track at the University of Utah, and lastly got her education classes from UVU. whew. She worked at the Public Theater in New York City and at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena. Favorite roles include: Maria, The Sound of Music, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Lily in the Secret Garden, and Sophie in Star Spangled Girl, and the hardest job in theatre, the swing in Les Miserables. "All the world is a stage..." Kameron works with the oldest group in the Performance Company and serves as our assistant director.
Nick loves theater. He’s been doing it for most of his life and some of his favorite roles include Charlie Brown (You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown) and JoJo (Seussical the Musical). He loves how theater lends itself as such a profound teaching tool. He believes that theater is a playground for the truth about action and consequence, and that’s why it can be so powerful. He’s thrilled to return to Center Stage as a workshop assistant and is excited to help the current cast members explore the deep themes of life through the production they are working on.
